REIGN OF STARSCREAM #3 - COVER

Cover Art by Alex Milne
Cover Colors by Espen Grundetjern

Wanted to share the cover to the third issue of the book with everyone. In this issue, Arcee and her combat team (consisting of Air Raid, Cliffjumper, Smokescreen, and Camshaft) launch their offensive on the Decepticon assault ship on Mars. Little do they know however, that Starscream is not alone.

This one is going to be a bit late. Not sure of an exact in-store date, but sometime in mid-late July is what I'd guess at. The other issues are on the fast track though, so the series will wrap up at the originally scheduled time. I'd really like to thank Josh Perez for absolutely kicking ass on this book and helping us out when we really needed some help. Thanks, too, to Alex for doing another fantastic job with the art.

Great cover! Who's co-writing this one...?

(It'll be in stores on July 16, too)

Hi Chris,

Got issue 2, found it to be better than issue 1 and is building up to something. It was great to see some new characters, it'll cool to see a certain third seeker if possible ;)

As a comic book writer myself, I'm wondering how you and Ryall divide up the writing. Does one of you do a draft and then the other makes changes and go back and forth like that? I've never co-written anything before.

Many thanks, Martin :)

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the nice comments. Issue #1 was, as we've said before, kind of the "jumping on" point for everyone.

Regarding the writing process, honestly, the story was conceived by Ryall and I roughly a week after we saw the film. Many revisions later, we would put the story together and I'd do the first pass on the script, setting up scenes and doing a preliminary dialogue pass. Ryall would then jump in and tweak dialogue, etc. Not sure how it's supposed to work, but that's how we did it.

Starting with Issue #3 however, it's all me. Really can't thank Ryall enough for getting me involved in the first place.

Thanks for the question and for checking out the book!
